There is nothing more welcoming than an Irish sim on St Patrick’s Day! Once a year regardless of where we dwell, we all want to be a little Irish. We dress in green, display proudly a shamrock, embrace the festivity and hope we find that elusive leprechaun’s pot of gold.
O’Hare’s Gap is a picture perfect irish sim with enough to offer even the most seasoned SL explorer. As the sim is set in the war year of 1939 instantly I felt the pull for a roleplay storyline when I arrived.
However today was not the day to adorn spy attire, instead being St Patrick’s Day the only accessory needed was the thick creamy head of a freshly poured guiness upon the lips.
A few steps to 1 Shannon/Limerick Road has you leaning against the bar at Malone’s Pub, a lively centre of entertainment for the locals.
Awaiting just outside the doors of Malone’s Pub is a horse driven carriage taking you on a visually delightful, information extensive, guided tour of the quaint rural village sim.
A hidden pleasure is the replica of Ireland’s treasure, Blarney Castle. Attention to detail means the Blarney Stone is nestled within the wall of the top tower complete with animation to ensure you can kiss the stone and never again be lost for words. Certainly something any blogger can use!!
I encourage everyone to spend time exploring O’Hare’s Gap. There are special features I’ve not mentioned, instead wanting to leave you with enough to be surprised when you begin to explore this little part of the Emerald isle.
With the blessings of St Patrick in mind, may the luck of the Irish be with you.
Happy St Patrick’s Day.
