This past week has been particularly difficult and energy sapping as I’ve battled a hefty dose of hay fever on top of a pretty nasty stomach virus all whilst balancing the pain of a major tooth ache, which couldn’t be worked on due to the virus. A never-ending circle of bad temper and self-pity ensured.
Logging into SecondLife today to find a landmark to Caprica, that had been left for me was a welcome relief. To wander with no purpose was exactly the right medicine life was sending me.
Setting off on my exploration upon landing I was instantly captivated. A very real life sigh escaped as the tranquillity of the meadows flowed into my tired body.
Taking time to read the description listed in parcel details I nodded in agreement at the simple words.
“A place to rest in the peaceful harmony of natural beauty…. enjoy 🙂 “
Although a hive of activity for any harbour the docks lay silent. Letting my mind drift to sounds of crashing ocean waves echoing around the rocky rim.
As the sunshine breathed life into my weary soul I wandered for over an hour, exploring every nook of this beautiful island retreat.
Spying a Greedy table upon the pier of a sparkling lake, complete with ducks, I imagined a group of friends enjoying time out from busy lives, enjoying friendship and fun amongst the peaceful setting.
It made me more determined to calendar time in the near future with those whose company I enjoy. Especially as the busy festive season approaches.
A smile never far from my lips as I watched the shadow of the eagle soaring high above me. With rabbits playing amongst the rocks it seemed so fitting to find fairies within the hidden cave.
Caprica is indeed a precious find amongst the buzz and demands of life in SecondLife. With the luxury of an Intan available and plenty of spots to just sit and let the time go by, Caprica is an excellent place to visit, be it on your own for renewal or with a special someone creating a treasured memory.
