Stemming from a real life love for quality fresh food and the never-ending quest for the perfect cup of coffee. A freshly ground espresso-bean double shot with a touch of frothy milk and one sugar. My SecondLife exploring time often includes searching for cafe’s and coffee shops.
Most follow the shop in a box style with coffee machine, cake counter and seating. Others manage to capture an essence of reality and relaxation with clever use of decor items.
Stumbling upon something different I knew I had found a postcard perfect place for the SL Travel 52 Challenge destination. Welcome to Cafe Habana Del Mar, located on the Cala del Barronal homestead sim.
From the moment you land at Cala del Barronal the scenery is breath-taking. Instantly your mind travels far away to tropical breeze, cocktails and cabana boys …
Ok … your tropical dream might differ slightly but if you seek glorious sunshine, crystal clear bays and perfect relaxation, a visit to Cala del Barronal and time amongst the palm trees is a must.
Cala del Barronal was designed to represent the glamorous 1920 era for Cuba. From mesmerizing sun effects playing upon the sparkling waters to the lush surroundings of green mountains and swaying palm fronds. Wherever your eye may land the quest for realism has been achieved.
From the floating pontoon encouraging water sport to the numerous places provided for lazing beneath large umbrella’s in the tropical heat there are many things for either solo or couple travellers to enjoy. Particular areas have been designed with romance in mind whilst others provide enough seating so that groups could easily relax within this tropical paradise in shared conversation.
Whether you dance at the cafe, in the courtyard, down on the water edge or other positions of your choice thanks to an intan, there is opportunity aplenty to dance the night away to the subtle tunes of Salsa, Jazz and love songs. House music is also DJ’d in at different times apparently when the owner streams his personal music collection live into SecondLife.
If you have ever searched SecondLife looking to join a group with intelligent discussion and decorum. Although I am not a member, only thanks to group limits and my continual hitting of them at the moment, the island does operates an exclusive group for such minded people.
Visitors however are always welcome to visit and enjoy the facilities. It certainly will become a favourite escape of mine.
Location: Cala del Barronal
