“Sometimes, you find yourself in the middle of nowhere,
and sometimes, in the middle of nowhere,
you find yourself.” ~ Unknown
What started off originally as taking a week off to concentrate on study commitments, somehow turned into nearly three months away from this blog. Read any top tips for successful blogging and one of the deadliest sins you can commit is unexplained long absences from your blog. It could be successfully argued that in this time where information is only a finger swipe away, causing our likes and dislikes to change like a flag flapping in the autumn winds any time away throws you into the deep realms of insignificance.
However instead of offering apologies and excuses as suggested by blog experts worldwide I believe there are benefits hidden within these unplanned hiatus. We all get worn down, our words become the same as the post from last week and the week before that. Momentum slows and instead of eagerly sharing words our auto-pilot censors everything to ensure we do not offend and in reality we become boring and bland.
Our souls to be able to rejuvenate, need time to just be with our self. Time where we can sit and ponder. Time to seek answers to questions that only complete peace and quiet will provide. Sometimes we just need to let the world spin and our bodies rest.
So after my self-imposed time out, I return with a renewed enthusiasm to get back to the core of what this blog was created to do. Tackle and discuss those tricky and often touchy topics that surround the in’s and out’s of behaviour and relationships within Second Life. Hopefully you will join back in this journey with me and create a conversation adding your own opinions and beliefs to each weekly post, as together we attempt to understand this sometimes strange yet wonderfully unique and mysterious world called Second Life.
It is great to be back!
Hugs, PB xx
